The Oakes Museum is your destination for customized educational programming. Read more to see how the value and fun of The Oakes Museum experience can continue well beyond your visit! When you are ready to schedule a visit, please complete our Online Field Trip/Tour Group Registration form.



General Tours of the Oakes Museum – a guided tour through museum exhibits.  Lasts 1.5 – 2 hours. 

All- Day Field Trips – include guided tours of both floors of the museum as well as two other activities, and time for lunch.  Lasts 3.5 – 4.5 hours.  Click on grade level below to view a list of possible activities.  We can also accommodate almost any special program request.

GUIDELINES FOR SCHOOL/TOUR GROUPS

  • Lunches may be eaten on the side lawn near the greenhouse. In case of inclement weather, an indoor eating area will be available to your group.
  • All students are required to be with their chaperones at all times while at The Oakes Museum Chaperones are responsible for any dicipline that may be necessary.
GUIDELINES FOR BUS DRIVERS
  1. Follow instructions given by museum staff prior to arrival for bus drop-off location. A campus map is available.
  2. Bus parking is permitted only at parking lot "P". To get there, turn right as you leave the Jordan parking lot to the first stop sign (sewage treatment plant is straight ahead). Turn right and after the second stop sign, turn left, cross the covered bridge, and park. DO NOT park anywhere else on campus. All other parking spaces are assigned to faculty/staff and commuters. There are no exceptions!
