This fourth edition of Endnotes records the scholarly, artistic and professional accomplishments of our Community of Educators from 1998 to 2000. Messiah College is an exciting and invigorating community of learning, and Educators are actively involved in many and varied dimensions of continuing professional development. This volume provides a glimpse into the significant contributions that our Educators are making not only to our own campus community of learning, but to the broader academy as well.
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to individuals who have labored to produce this volume. Joan Malick, Administrative Assistant to the Provost, served as general manager of the project and Sara Kasper, Student Assistant, worked with her. We are also grateful for the special assistance of the Publications Office and the Messiah College Press. Their dedication makes it possible to produce the project in a timely manner.
The first three volumes of Endnotes track scholarship by the calendar year covering a two-year period. Beginning in the year 2000, Endnotes will record the scholarly and artistic efforts of the members of the Community of Educators over two academic years and will be distributed at the end of the summer. Thus this edition of Endnotes lists achievements from July 1998 through June 2000.
It is a pleasure to present this publication which recognizes and celebrates the professional achievements of our Messiah College Educators.
Rhonda H. Jacobsen, Assistant Dean for Faculty Development
