Health and Safety in an International Setting

Information Session


This session is designed to introduce students to important health and safety information.and to offer students help with the logistics of studying off campus. External Programs staff walk students through the paperwork they need to complete before leaving campus, review their study abroad contract, and present a video produced by the U.S. State Department : "Safety and Study Abroad."


At the orientation, students will receive a handbook that includes:


  • Housing Information
  • Parking Information for Returning Students
  • Implications of Chapel Probation
  • Financial Aid Information
  • Post Office Notices - Mail While you are Off Campus
  • Study Abroad Contract
  • State Department World Wide Caution
  • U.S. State Department Consular Information Sheet
  • Health Information from the Centers for Disease Control


Parents may wish to review the information in this booklet with their sons and daughters.
