Located near the boarder of Germany, the beautiful city of Strasbourg, France is the home to the University of Strasbourg where Messiah students can spend a semester or a year experiencing French language and culture. The program includes orientation / language study, university classes, and several educational excursions.

An internship program is available for students who are interested in an international field experience.

BCA offers students, who are seriously interested in enriching their college experiences, an opportunity to enhance their curriculum with a semester or year of study abroad. Programs in China, Ecuador, England, France, Germany, Greece, Japan, Mexico, and Spain give students a wide range of options.

Goals and Objectives
BCA attempts to integrate American students into an overseas university, allowing them to broaden their horizons, to experience different cultures, and to practice speaking another modern language.

Requirements
Students must have two full years of college (completed 57credits) and must have a 3.0 GPA or higher to qualify. Recommendations are a large part of the application process. Students must complete at least four semesters of college-level French before participating (six semesters are required for students participating in the internship program).

Credits / Grades
The 15 or 16 credits students earn each semester may meet some general education or major requirements. Courses taken will appear on Messiah transcripts with letter grades. Please refer to the grade conversion scale.

BCA Summer Programs
Students may also participate in 3- to 6-credit options in the summer in any of the Messiah-approved locations. However, students will NOT receive the cross cultural waiver. Messiah will pass through costs for BCA summer programs; airfare is not included. Click here to learn more about these options.

Costs: 2008 - 2009
Messiah College Tuition, Messiah room and full meal plan fees, and $750 off-campus study fee.

Includes round-trip, international airfare; students are responsible for their own transportation to and from jumping off point in the United States.
