If you are just returning from studying abroad, WELCOME HOME! Messiah has some resources to help your transition back to campus.
Please note that at the beginning of the semester you return, Education Abroad will be hosting a mandatory half day, reentry retreat. Information will be emailed to returning students.
Remember the "Back in the USA" book you received? This will take that return journey one step further. You problably already are aware that just as you experienced culture shock when you entered your host country, you will experience another level of culture shock when you return.
We will host some hands-on short sessions to equip you to deal with this transition. Identify "What's Changed?" Meet leaders of internatonal clubs and Bible studies on campus. Explore how to take your 100s of photos and making them a lasting memory. Discover how to to translate your study abroad exprience on your resume . . . and more. Hint: Yes, there are fun prizes and food!
