Licensing/Certification

 

The Mental Health Counseling track is designed to meet the standards for accreditation under the Council of Accreditation for Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) and upon completion of all of the required clinical hours will prepare students to take the exam to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

 

The School Counseling track is designed according to the regulations set forth in the Pennsylvania Code as well as the standards for accreditation under the Council of Accreditation for Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).  The program prepares students to take the required Praxis exams and become a certified school counselor by the Pennsylvania Department of Education in elementary and/or secondary school counseling.

 

The Marriage and Family Counseling track is designed to meet the standards for accreditation under the Council of Accreditation for Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) and upon completion of all of the required clinical hours will prepare students to take the exam to become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
