Act 48 Credit
Beginning July 1, 2000, Act 48 of 1999 required persons holding Pennsylvania professional educator certification to complete continuing education requirements every five years in order to maintain their certificates as active. One option to maintain compliance with this act is to earn six collegiate credits every five calendar years. Messiah College graduate credits are eligible for Act 48 credit. A student wishing to receive such credit must complete a Request for Act 48 Credit form upon completion of the course in which he/she is enrolled. This form must be completed for each course that is to be submitted for Act 48 credit. Please submit form to APatton@messiah.edu.
