Graduation Requirements

Students must apply for graduation at the beginning of the academic year in which they plan to graduate. Application will be made through the Registrar’s Office. At this time, the students must also notify their academic advisor of their intention to graduate and request that their academic advisor complete the required recommendation form. Students will be permitted to graduate upon recommendation of their academic advisor and the Graduate Program Committee for Youth and Young Adult Ministries.
Specifically, graduation from the MA Program in Youth and Young Adult Ministries requires:
- an overall minimum GPA of 3.0;
- successful completion of all required course work;
- recommendation of the student’s academic advisor and the Graduate Program Committee for Youth and Young Adult Ministries;
- compliance with all other Messiah College policies for graduation.
Students are encouraged to complete the program in two years, and all students must complete their degree within six years from the time they begin the program. Students are expected to be continuously enrolled from the time they begin their program.
