William Stowman

Dr. William Stowman is Professor of Music and Chair of the Department of Music.  Dr. Stowman teaches trumpet and directs the Messiah College Trumpet Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble and Big Band.  He has been the recipient of the Robert and Marlyn Smith Award for Outstanding Teaching at Messiah and has also received the Pennsylvania Music Educators Citation of Excellence for his work in the schools and as a guest conductor.  As a trumpeter, he performed and recorded with with the Messiah College Faculty Brass, The Keystone Wind Ensemble, and the North Texas Wind Symphony.  He is a clinician with Edwards Trumpets.
