Messiah College Department of Music
is recognized by the
Pennsylvania Music Educators Association
through several invitations.


Two Messiah College ensembles performed at the 2008 State Convention held at Hershey, PA in April.

Messiah College Chamber Singers under the direction of

Dr. William Stowman, Chair of the Department of Music served as the Guest Conductor for the PMEA All-State Concert Band.

Messiah College Voice Majors
made their mark at
Pennsylvania Chapter of NATS
(National Association of Teachers of Singing).   

Of the nearly 200 students competing, the following Messiah students won their divisions!

Sarah Wingard won Freshman Women
Melissa Shumaker won Sophmore Women
David Perry won Freshman Men
Brandon Kerr won Sophomore Men
David O'Donnell won Senior Men

Alicia Bigelow and Rachel Ditri
were both in the top three in Senior Women
