The General Placement Center Services General Information

• We will be using the ACSD website to post all job opportunities that will be available at the ACSD Conference.  
• A Placement Meeting will be held on Monday afternoon from 4:00 – 5:00.  The room location will be posted closer to the conference.  The meeting will provide employers and candidates a time to network.
• Interview rooms will be available in the Career Center.  The Career Center is located on the first floor of the Eisenhower Campus Center across from Graystone Bank.
• Interview rooms will be available from 8:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M. Monday – Wednesday and 8:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. on Thursday.
• Since all of the placement process will be handled through the ACSD website, it will be important for you to check your e-mail regularly to see if you have messages. 

Employers:

You are encouraged to post your job opportunities on the ACSD website.  When posting your vacancies, please indicate that you will be performing interviews at the ACSD Conference.  Include your complete contact information.  You can contact candidates directly to set up interviews while at the ACSD conference.  You must be a member of ACSD to post positions on the website.

Interview rooms will be reserved in the Messiah College Career Center.  A sign-up sheet for these rooms will be posted in the Career Center.  Of course you are not limited to using these four rooms.  Interviews may take place anywhere on campus that you find to be a suitable location.

There will also be a computer lab available where you can check your e-mail to see if candidates have contacted you electronically.  Messiah’s campus is wireless.  You will be able to access the wireless network from most places on our campus.  Be sure to check you r e-mail regularly to expedite the interview process during ACSD.  The location of the computer lab will be posted closer to the date of the conference. 

If you want candidates to be able to contact you while you are at the ACSD Conference, you may choose to update your job posting with your cell phone number prior to attending the conference. 

Candidates:

All candidates will be able to view the job postings on the ACSD Website.  Although all jobs will viewable, only members of ACSD will be permitted to post resumes on the site.  Once you have secured membership in ACSD, you will be permitted to upload a resume to the ACSD website.  Employers will be able to view your resume and may contact you to set up an interview during the conference.

You will have access to the computer lab to view updated postings and to send e-mails to potential employers.  Messiah’s campus is wireless.  You will be able to access the wireless network from most locations on our campus.
