If Messiah College is where you really want to go to college, here’s some good news—96% of all Messiah students received some form of financial aid in 2006-2007.
We want as many students as possible to have the opportunity to attend Messiah College, experience all we have to offer, and earn the kind of education that employers like Scott Heintzelman ’89, of the accounting and consulting firm McKonly and Asbury, says produces “exceptional employees” who “demonstrate exemplary character.”
But we know that affording a Messiah College education can seem daunting, so that’s why we offer a variety of academic and merit-based scholarships, as well as need-based financial aid. In fact, Messiah awarded more than $20 million in financial aid in the 2006-07 academic year alone. And a new financial aid initiative has been launched at the College with the goal of raising another $20 million for financial aid over the next five years.
President Phipps says, “This effort, when completed, will …provide more than $1.5 million in additional annual scholarship aid for qualified students who have financial need.”
