Conveniently Located Campus — Culture, Shopping, and Places to Eat On and Off Campus
If your idea of fun has to do with great restaurants, museums, shopping, and cultural events, Messiah is a best-of-both-worlds home base.
You can enjoy living on our beautiful and quiet campus, but you’re also within easy driving distance of several major cities.

Messiah College is located just 12 miles from the state capital, Harrisburg, and within convenient driving distance of Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and New York City.
Don’t like to travel? You can still get a good dose of “culture” right here on campus.
You might stop in at
Aughinbaugh Gallery to take in the latest art shows, attend a
theatrical performance in Miller Auditorium, or enjoy one of our
Cultural Series events, which bring world-class performers to Messiah’s campus.
There are a variety of concerts and lectures from well-known authors and nationally acclaimed personalities on campus throughout the year. You may also want to catch a movie, whether a Shakespeare Film Series or a contemporary movie, at our on-campus, state-of-the-art theatre,
Parmer Cinema — one of the premier cinemas on the East Coast. The theatre seats 129 people (plus wheelchair seating for five) and features state-of-the-art projection equipment and dynamic acoustics.
Tickets for all films are only $1.
And, of course, there are many other special events, celebrations, or activities unique to Messiah College — like the “Moustache Bash” and “Witstock” picnic (pictured above) — that you could take in… but of course, you’ll have to come to Messiah to find out what these events are all about!
