Janelle Curtis-Beaman

Hi! Thanks for visiting the Messiah College Admissions page. My name is Janelle Curtis-Beaman and I have the pleasure of serving students who are homeschooled and students who live within Cumberland County. You are, undoubtedly, entrenched in a college search process and I am excited to come along with you as you explore what God has for the next chapter of your life.

As a (fairly) recent graduate of Messiah I am still overwhelmed by the great experience that I had here as a student. I felt continually challenged to integrate my faith with my academics and graduated, not just with a degree in Communication, but with a greater sense of how God could use me as a great communicator. I was challenged to use my gifts and talents to His glory and was able to put that into practice through internships, campus leadership opportunities, service experiences, and campus employment. My professors and all campus staff invested in me while I was a student and continued to invest in me and support me as I graduated, searched for jobs, settled on a church, and created a niche within my new community. I am continually challenged and impressed by their example and feel led to invest in new students who are searching for the best school for them. Part of Messiah’s mission is “to educate men and women in preparation for lives of service, leadership and reconciliation”. My Messiah education prepared me well and I have spent the years since college seeking out experiences that allow me to serve, lead and reconcile as much and as often as possible. If I were to search for a college again, I would choose Messiah in a heartbeat!
