Financial Aid
Merit-Based Academic Scholarships
Provost’s Scholarships: US$6,000–$10,000 annually
- All students who meet the criteria are awarded scholarships.
- Minimum academic qualifications: SAT of 1100+, ACT of 24+,
and/or class rank in the top 25%
- No additional application is needed for this scholarship.
President’s and Trustee’s Scholarships: US$16,000–$24,000 annually
- 60 scholarships total awarded annually
- Minimum academic qualifications: SAT of 1300+, ACT of 29+,
and/or class rank in the top 10%
- Eligible students may be invited to an interview selection process.

Financial Need-Based Scholarships
International Aid: US$1,000–$15,000 annually
Federal Financial Aid
- Loans, grants, and scholarships; amounts awarded are based on
the FAFSA (available only to U.S. citizens and permanent residents).
Work Study Employment
All students are eligible for on-campus work during the school year, with
possible earnings up to US$2,000/year (before taxes). Summer work is also
available on a limited basis, with possible earnings of up to US$4,000
(before taxes).
Note: Each international student can expect to provide approximately
US$17,000 in financial support for each year they attend Messiah College.
Students receiving merit-based academic scholarships may be able to reduce
this amount.
