Philosophy class: Existentialism.
I can see the problem —
the longing for meaning
in a world reluctant to give it.
The professor asks:
As Christians, what do we do with this?
At Messiah,
I grapple with ideas from all angles
until I see the world’s realities
in a much deeper way.

Although faith is rooted in believing and intellect is rooted in
questioning, at Messiah, we see no difficulty in bringing the two into
harmony.
Messiah invites students to inhabit
the entire landscape, to embrace
both Christian faith and academic
inquiry, and to allow the one to enhance the other.
Within the landscape
of Christian life, both faith and intellect have very important roles
to play.
