Unity Through Diversity

Welcome to Messiah College!

At Messiah, our goal is to bring together students from different backgrounds that will reflect the diversity within God's kingdom and promote multicultural education.

"...I can honestly say that Messiah is a place that fosters positive personal growth, and if you choose to place yourself in such a position, a school that greatly nurtures your spiritual walk."

"At the end of my senior year in high school, I was extremely indecisive on where I wanted to go to school, and I also had no clue what career I wanted to pursue. My choice of schools had come down to Messiah and Villanova University, both of which had offered me full academic scholarships. Me and my family prayed fervently and honestly felt that it was God's will that I go to Villanova.

However, I believe that I did not adequately prepare to immerse myself in a wholly secular environment and still thrive spiritually. Consequently, my grades plummeted, and I lost my scholarship.

But, God is merciful. Messiah offered me the chance to come here, even with my shattered GPA. The experience has been absolutely amazing, the people here are incredibly supportive, and the faculty is very competent.

I have found that I have a gift for teaching, and now major in Special Education. I also play on the basketball team, and combined with the new friends I have made off the court I can honestly say that Messiah is a place that fosters positive personal growth, and if you choose to place yourself in such a position, a school that greatly nurtures your spiritual walk."

Alicia Joseph, Class of 2012
Nursing

"I loved the stumbling blocks along the road because they made me stronger and motivate me to come back for another unforgettable experience."

“My goal in life is to become a compassionate traveling nurse. I also want to show God’s love to patients I take care of and my co-workers because in today’s world it is so apparent that people are missing true unconditional love. Messiah came to me as an opportunity to strengthen my foundation in Christ and apply my values to my calling.

Living five hours away from family in New York really pushed me to find an identity on campus. I got involved in Asian Student Association (ASA) and other multicultural programs as well as service opportunities through the Agapé Center. The communities in these programs helped show me the traits of what family is.”

"I thank God for leading me here, and look forward to continuing the journey in this caring supportive environment."
"I chose Messiah for its emphasis on the integration of community, Christian faith and academics. Messiah has taught me that these three elements provide an important foundation critical to the college experience. The Multicultural Program is particularly valuable - providing an immediate sense of community.

I thank God for leading me here, and look forward to continuing the journey in this caring supportive environment. "
