Messiah's Award-Winning "Go Ahead" Ad Campaign Created with the Help of Our Own Students

We call this our “go ahead” ad campaign. “Go ahead” can bring to mind different things to different people – it could mean:

• Go ahead – try it out, challenge yourself!
• Go ahead – get ahead
• Go ahead – simply go! Serve others, study abroad, change the world!

Some of our own students helped us develop the concept for this campaign. They contributed ideas, and wrote headlines and some of the content. They even did some of the photography!

We got our students involved because they understand today’s high school students even better than we do. We wanted our ads to appeal to students considering coming to Messiah College. And it worked!

Awards

• In the fall of 2006, readers of Campus Life (Ignite) magazine, voted our “Go ahead. Take a Peak.” ad the best ad appearing in that issue.
• CUPRAP - The College and University Public Relations Association of Pennsylvania Gold Award for single ad, 2008

Since then the ads have appeared in many national, regional, and local magazines and newspapers.
