- Accounting —Ranked number one in Pennsylvania and seventh in the nation by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy for percentage of students passing the CPA exam on the first attempt (2004)
- Study abroad —Ranked one of the top 10 bachelor's institutions sending students abroad by the Institute for International Education’s annual Open Doors Survey (2006)
- Athletics —Recognized for our consistently outstanding athletic programs, Messiah ranked third in the 2006 NCAA Division III Sports Academy Director’s Cup Standings, which recognize the top overall athletic programs in the country based on a school’s achievements in all sports at the national level. In 2006, Messiah’s men’s soccer team won their third straight NCAA Division III National Championship, while the women’s soccer team made its third consecutive appearance in the Final Four. The field hockey team finished the 2006 season as the national runner-up.
With the help and encouragement from their professors, several of our graduates also have won some of the most prestigious and internationally competitive academic awards such as the Rhodes, Marshall, and Truman scholarships, as well as the Carnegie Fellowship and several Fulbright Fellowships.
