Heisey Appreciation Day Sells Out

The Falcon Athletic Network is sponsoring 'Heisey Appreciation Day' June 26h, as Heisey's Cincinnati Reds take on the Baltimore Orioles in Baltimore.

TICKET ALLOTMENT SOLD OUT !!!

Baltimore, MD — The Falcon Athletic Network is sponsoring ‘Chris Heisey Appreciation Day’ June 26th at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore, and the response has been amazing.

The Messiah intercollegiate athletics department announced that it had sold out its allotment of 150 tickets Friday, as a multitude of Falcons' fans, friends and alums will honor 2006 alum Chris Heisey as his Cincinnati Reds visit the Baltimore Orioles Sunday, June 26th at 1:35 p.m. EST.

Tickets were just $15 apiece and are situated together in Camden Yards’ right field reserved section — adjacent to the park’s picnic area, where Messiah fans and friends can mingle while taking in the action.

And even while Messiah's allotment is sold out, fans can still purchase tickets directly through the Baltimore Orioles.

For all fans wanting to say hello to Heisey, the former Messiah standout has promised a quick meet and greet before the game, as the Reds will be on the field between 11:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. (approximately).

Heisey is Messiah’s and the Commonwealth Conference’s first-ever major league ballplayer, being called up to the bigs in May of last season. Heisey’s journey has been well-documented at GoMessiah.com, including a revealing Furm’s Take that was written in October of 2008. This year, Heisey has played in 46 games and is hitting .279 with four home runs and 17 RBI.

“We think this is going to be a great day at the ballpark with a bunch of people who love Messiah and Chris Heisey,” said Cory Furman, Messiah assistant athletics director and F.A.N. director. “To have everyone sitting together and to be near the picnic area at Camden Yards is perfect. It should be a great day at a great venue.”
