Messiah Aquatics: Rules and Policies
Policies For Facility Use:
  1. Use is restricted to Messiah College students, faculty, staff, alumni and their legal dependents (one additional guest is allowed).
  2. The pool may be rented out by educational and church organizations through the Aquatics Director.
  3. Employee dependents age 13 and under must be accompanied by someone 18 years of age or older.
  4. A parent must accompany dependents of Alumni.
  5. Persons age 14 or older must have a valid Messiah College Identification card or guest pass.
  6. Children 6 years of age or younger must have an adult in the water with them.
  7. No more than 6 children under supervision per adult.
  8. The pool may be used only when a Messiah College lifeguard is on duty.
  9. Lockers may be used during individual or group swim times. However, lockers may not be used overnight.
  10. All posted rules must be followed.

Pool Rules
  1. Shower before entering the pool.
  2. All Band-Aids, jewelry and hair pins must be removed before entry.
  3. No shoes or flip-flops are allowed on the pool deck.
  4. Food, Drinks and Chewing Gum is not permitted.
  5. Proper swim attire is required. Cutoffs, street shorts, T-Shirts and diapers are not permitted.
  6. Proper ID is required.
  7. All swimmers must sign in and sign out.
  8. No Running.
  9. Throwing others into the pool, chicken fights and other horseplay is not permitted.
  10. No diving from the shallow end of the pool. Diving may occur in the diving well and from the deep end with proper supervision. Use of the diving platforms is not permitted without proper instruction and supervision.
  11. Recreation equipment must remain in the pool at all times and must be approved by the pool staff.
  12. Swimming lanes are for lap swimmers. No more than 2 swimmers per lane.
  13. Please do not sit, lift, rest on or climb over the lap lines.
  14. Pool equipment is not available for conference use
  15. Lifeguard is the final authority.
