Messiah Men Place 10th and Women 12th In NCAA Regionals
The Messiah men's cross country team placed two All-Region runners, Tyler Newhook and Zach Hoagland.

Center Valley, PA - At the 2011 NCAA Regional meet the Messiah Cross Country teams both finished in the top 12 out of 47 teams.

The Men's Cross Country just made in into the top 10 by finishing in tenth place. The team had five top 100 finishers with senior Tyler Newhook leading the team. Newhook finished in 26th place and ran the 8K race in an astonishing time of 26:21.

The other top 100 finishers for the Falcons included Zach Hoagland (60th), Matt Herring (69th), Craig Hutcheson (88th), and Daniel Herring (92nd).

Newhook earned All-Region for his 26th palce finish.

In the Women's race the Falcons came in 12th place and had four top 100 runners. Leading the pack for Messiah was senior Mary Higgins who ran the 6K race in a time of 24:04.

Jessica Dillner (83rd), Abby Reed (94th), and Jennifer Bender (98th) also ran in the top 100 at the 2011 NCAA Regional race.

NCAA members meet tonight to decide which runners receive at-large bids to run at the 2011 NCAA National Championships which will take place on Saturday November 19th in Winneconee, Wisconsin.
