Falcons Place Five on the Commonwealth All-Conference Teams

Grantham, PA – Messiah placed five team members on the 2007 Commonwealth Conference All-Conference team.  Senior Lindsay Hunter along with junior Beth Sandowich and sophomore Emily Sauder were named to the First Team.  Sophomores Katie Love and Ashley Mowery earned Second Team recognition.

Forward Lindsay Hunter (Unity, ME) leads the Falcons in scoring this season with 18 goals and 4 assists.  She has amassed 40 total points on the season and has scored 5 game winning goals.  Beth Sandowich (Haddon Heights, NJ) is a key fixture in the Falcon defense.  She has scored three goals and picked up two assists as well.  Emily Sauder (Reinholds, PA) patrols the midfield area and has one goal and three assists this fall.

Forward Katie Love (Hockessin, DE) has scored six times for Messiah and dished out four assists.  Ashley Mowrey (Lewsiburg, PA) stands in the cage for the Falcons and carries a 1.38 goals against average.  She has made 74 saves on the year.

Messiah is 12-4 on the year and ranked #10 nationally.  They have qualified as the #2 seed in the Commonwealth play-offs and will face Elizabethtown in the semi-final game hosted at Messiah.  The winner will then face top seed Lebanon Valley on Saturday for the conference championship.
