2009-2010 Season - Freshman
Saw action in all 25 games, starting 1. . .averaged just over 16 minutes per game. . .scored just under five points per game. . .shot 44 % from the field (46-104). . .pulled down 65 rebounds.
2010-2011 Season - Sophomore
In his sophomore season Derek saw action in 17 games and started in two of those games. He averaged 14 minutes a game with 4.6 points per game. Derek was incredible from behind the arc hitting 47% of three-point shots. Also, he did not miss a single free throw in his sophomore season going nine of nine from the charity stripe. Derek also totaled 34 rebounds, seven assists and seven steals.
Personal
Son of Darryl and Gina Mosley. He has a twin brother, Dan, who also is a member of the Messiah men's basketball team. Here at Messiah Derek is a Business Administration major with a concentration in Leadership. Derek chose Messiah over Roanoke College. In high school Derek was a 1,000 point scorer and First Team All-District member. His hobbies inlcude playing ping pong and video games. The people that he admires the most are his parents. His favorite foods are pizza and cheeseburgers. Derek's favorite TV shows are the Fresh Prince of Bel Air and 24. His favorite movie is Glory Road. His favorite vacation spot is Chincoteague Island, Daytona Beach. In the the future Derek plans on becoming a college basketball coach.
