John Dennis is in his third year as an assistant coach at Messiah and is a 2001 graduate of Messiah College, receiving his bachelor's degree in psychology. A former defensive midfielder, John works with the team's keepers and defensive unit. Coach Dennis will focus on the defensive end of the field in 2006 after being a goalie/ defensive coach with an Under-19 Team in Australia in the summer of 2001 and with Coach Weisenborn at Francis Scott Key High School in 2003. Coach Dennis went on to Regent University where he received his master's degree in counseling and psychology.

John provided the Falcons with great defense during his four-year career at Messiah (98-01) and was an integral part of the man down defense unit in Messiah's first NCAA bid in 2001. Coach Dennis also plays an important role in recruiting future Falcon players. Aside from his coaching duties on campus, John is employed as a master's level counselor with high-risk youth in the Harrisburg area and resides in nearby Mechanicsburg, Pa., with his wife.
