2008 Softball Fence Project

We are looking for ways to improve the student-athlete experience with the softball team,  and there is a special project that I truly believe will enhance the overall softball program.

We are raising the funds needed to construct a fully enclosed permanent fence along with a warning track and outfield windscreen for the softball field—a fence that will make us eligible to host NCAA playoff games, the Christian High School State Championship, and other for-profit tournaments, clinics, and summer camps.  It will also enhance the visibility of our program by making our facilities look as attractive as possible, which helps with recruitment and retention of talented players.

There are two phases to our proposed project.

Phase One: A permanent fence enclosure of the field with a cap guard on the outfield fence, warning track, and a windscreen for the outfield fence (est. cost is $27,000-$30,000).

Phase Two: Bleachers that will seat 150 people and be put on the home side (est. cost is $18,000).

Your donations will make this project a reality. Please send in your tax-deductible gift. Whether you are able to give $25, $250, or $2,500, please know that your gift of any amount truly will make a difference and will help us reach our goal. I deeply appreciate your consideration of our request and look forward to what these enhancements will do for Messiah’s softball program!
