2009-2010 Season - Freshman
Appeared in all 29 games with 5 starts. . .averaged 20.4 minutes and 6.1 points per game. . .shot 41.7 % from the floor (75-180). . .pulled down 133 rebounds (4th on team) and collected 51 steals (3rd on team). . .scored a season high 15 points February 24 vs Widener University, shooting 6-11 from the floor, pulled down 8 rebounds, dishing out 5 assists, and collecting 6 steals.
2010-2011 Season - Sophomore
In her sophomore campaign Kira played and started in every single game. She averaged almost 25 minutes per game and added just over eight points per game as well. Kira was extremely effective from the free throw line shooting almost 75% (11th in Commonwealth) and in stealing the ball, which she did 52 times (5th in Commonwealth). Kira averaged 5 rebounds per game and totaled 29 assists and 15 blocks on the season.

Kira Maier is from Medford, New Jersey. She is an English Education major here at Messiah. A random fact about Kira is that she does not like gum. In high school she won many basketball honors including, first team all south New Jersey, 1,000 point club, and 1,000 rebound club. The person that Kira really admires is Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow. Her favorite food is Scotcharoos, her favorite TV show is NCIS, and her favorite movie is How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Jim Carey version). In Kira's iPod you will find Andre Bocelli. In the future Kira would like to teach high school english and coach basketball.
