Three Named to All-Commonwealth Team

Grantham, Pa – Messiah landed three players on the 2007 All-Commonwealth Conference Women's Tennis team. Senior Sadie Sumner (New Columbia, Pa) and freshman Stacey Clark (Eagleview, Pa) were named to the All-Conference First Team. Senior Leah Bradshaw (Perkasie, Pa) earned Second Team honors. Messiah posted a record of 4-7 during the fall season and were 2-2 in Commonwealth play.

Sadie Sumner played in the number one singles position for the Falcons and had a record of 7-4.  Clark, also honored as the Commonwealth Rookie of the Year, competed in the #3 spot and had a mark of 5-5. Bradshaw saw action at #2 singles and posted a record of 4-4 during the year. 

Messiah earned a spot in the Commonwealth Conference play-offs that will be held in the Spring of 2008.
