Messiah Places Three on All-Conference Teams

Grantham, PA – Messiah Women's Volleyball team has posted one of their most successful seasons in recent years. The Falcons finished the year with a record of 21-11 and earned the number three seed in the Commonwealth play-offs. Messiah game up just short of advancing to the championship match, falling to Lebanon Valley 3-2. The Falcons had three players named to the 2007 Commonwealth All-Conference Volleyball Team as voted on by the leagues coaches.

Senior outside hitter Leslie Heffner (Leola, PA) was honored on the All-Commonwealth First Team. Leslie was second on the Falcons with 295 kills an average of 2.98 per game.  She also had a team high 46 service aces. On the defensive side Heffner figured in on 42 blocks and was second on the team in digs with 300.

Junior outside hitter Amy Stabler (San Ignacio, Bolivia) and sophomore middle hitter Samantha Bradley (Fayetteville, PA) were recognized on the Second Team. Stabler was the team's kill leader with 316.  She picked up 23 blocks and had 285 digs to her credit. Samantha tallied 272 kills. She led the team in blocks with 82, 27 coming in the solo variety.
