The Messiah College wrestling program celebrated 40 Years of Messiah Wrestling over the weekend, honoring thirty wrestlers from among the Falcons’ storied past.

“It was really special to honor these guys, and to spend time with so many other alumni that came out for the celebration,” said Messiah head coach Bryan Brunk. “The time spent with everyone at the reception, with such a great turnout, it was a huge success.”

The celebration also received an extra boost from the current Falcons’ squad, as the team earned two wins of Waynesburg and #17 York College during the day.

The “All-Time Team” was selected by a committee of alumni wrestlers, with the primary purpose of celebrating the outstanding legacy of wrestling at Messiah College throughout the past four decades. Of the thirty honorees, twelve were elected to the “Dream Team”—the top wrestler at each weight class.* The remaining eighteen wrestlers were elected to the All-Time Team regardless of their weight.
