Career Highlights - Summary
07-08: Proved to be a strong leader for Messiah wrestling in many ways. Led the team in wins and was among the leaders in takedowns, falls, reversals, and nearfalls. Qualified to the National Championships and nearly placed in the tournament.
06-07: Enjoy fine start to college career by winning 11 of 17 matches and placing in the regional tournament. Made an immediate impact on and off the mat and was appointed captain for 07-08.
HS: 4X State finalist, winning two titles. Also placed 2nd at Brute Junior Nationals and Cliff Keen Reno World's. 158-13 career record.

Son of Orlen and Elaina Zempel. . .played football and track and field in high school. . .enjoys outdoor activities and worked as a wildland firefighter in the summer. . .favorite Bible verse, "Because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.
