Messiah College is an academically excellent Christian college—consistently ranked a "U.S. News & World Report" top five comprehensive college in the northeast (in competition with both faith-based and secular institutions)—with a politically and socially diverse student body of approximately 2,800 students, located 12 miles from the state capital city of Harrisburg. The College's faith base is broadly evangelical and includes students from many mainline denominations.
