Dr. David Hagenbuch holds a B.S. in marketing from Messiah College, an M.B.A. from Temple University, and a D.B.A. from Anderson University. Before returning to Messiah to teach, Dr. Hagenbuch worked for nearly ten years in two different marketing-management positions. He first served as a corporate sales analyst for Crawford Broadcasting, a national Christian radio network. Later, he joined his family’s specialty advertising agency, located in Danville, PA. As a partner of the firm, Dr. Hagenbuch managed its daily operations, served as account executive for many major accounts, and performed most of the company’s in-house graphic design work.

The sale of the business in 2000 allowed Dr. Hagenbuch to return to his alma mater where he teaches business ethics and marketing classes, which often help meet marketing needs for local nonprofit organizations. He also serves on the Community of Educators senate, coordinates the Department of Management & Business’ Service Day Project, and provides marketing consultation for the Mennonite Central Committee's (MCC) Pennsylvania Relief Sale.

Dr. Hagenbuch has given presentations at several professional conferences, and he has been published in The Journal of Marketing Education and Marketing News. His professional affiliations include the American Marketing Association (AMA) and the Christian Business Faculty Association (CBFA). He currently serves on the nominating committee for CBFA board of directors.

Dr. Hagenbuch, his wife Lili, who is also a Messiah graduate, and their two children reside in Mechanicsburg and attend the Grantham Brethren in Christ Church, where he has assisted with children's ministries. His favorite pastimes are sports and spending time with his family.
