The Communication Studies program is for individuals looking to further their knowledge in the general field of communication. The communication studies concentration provides a firm grasp of communication strategies and theories. Additionally, students in this concentration graduate with the base they need to further their education through graduate studies.

• Explore theory, rhetoric, interpersonal and cross-cultural communications.  
  
• Take classes in other communication concentrations (public relations, film & digital media) or in broadcasting  
  
• Gain an understanding of communication processes, both among individuals and within varying cultures and societies
  
• Develop analytical skills
  
• Master various forms of communication (oral, written, visual and virtual)
  
• Study role of communication in history and society
