Opportunities

Messiah College provides students with excellent facilities, including Parmer Cinema, digital editing labs, and classes in the newest-constructed building on campus, Boyer Hall.

The campus radio station WVMM 90.7, which is located in Larsen Student Union, allows students to gain experience in broadcasting and radio.  Many Communication students become involved in campus publications such as the student newspaper, The Swinging Bridge, and the yearbook.  Public Relations students can become involved with the newly formed chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).  Additionally, students with a high culmulitive GPA may be eligible for nomination into Lambda Pi Eta, a national communication honor society.

The close proximity of our state capital, Harrisburg, provides numerous internship opportunities in broadcasting, television, film, and more.  Through our Philadelphia Campus and Temple University, students have the opportunity to take courses or internships in the city of Philadelphia, a major national and international hub of communication.  Students are also encouraged to take advantage of study abroad programs in many parts of the world.  Popular locations include Greece, England, Russia, and Martha's Vineyard.
