Communication Major
Are you passionate about films? Can you appreciate an effective advertisment? Do you enjoy public speaking? If so, communication could be the right major for you. Choosing from three concentrations - film and digital media; public relations and advertising; or speech communication - you'll study mass media, crisis management, virtual communication, and communication theory. This major prepares you for a variety of professional positions including: public relations, broadcasting, marketing, film production, new production, non-profit vocations, internal and external corporate communication, and mass media.
Additionally, the communciation major is for students who are interested in working with people, the mass media, building relationships, and public communication. By integrating Christian faith and academic studies, students can prepare for a variety of career fields. The program offers hands-on experience in public speaking, film, mass media, and public relations. Truly, the ability to communicate effectively is crucial to success in any career. The communication major will do just that, providing a solid foundation of written and verbal skills.
