Early Childhood Education Major
The early childhood education program will prepare you to teach preschool through grade three. We believe that teachers are problem-solving professionals. So your early childhood education program will develop your abilities to think, solve problems, and make decisions in critical areas such as instructional planning, instructional delivery, assessment, and classroom management. In addition to your education coursework, you will develop a broad knowledge base by studying a wide variety of subjects such as mathematics, history, biology, literature, foreign language, psychology, and the arts. You also will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of an academic subject of your choice by completing a six-credit disciplinary focus.Curriculum For more details on the curriculum requirements and the types of courses you would be taking as an Early Childhood Education major, visit our Online Course Catalog or Take a look at the printable Early Childhood Education Major Brochure (Course catalog and major brochure include PDF files.
