Messiah Engineering Graduates
Messiah Engineering graduates are well equipped for both the professional world and the challenge graduate-level education. Some of our graduates continue their education at universities like Penn State and Drexel. Those who do not continue on to graduate school find employmeet at organizations as diverse as SIM, Grundfos, and NASA. Many find work at large companies which have offices close to Messiah College, such as Mott's Incorporated and Phoenix Contact. Some prefer smaller, local engineering firms, such as Master Solutions Incorporate and York International, while others choose to work elsewhere for large international corporations, including IBM, Black & Decker, and Ingersoll Rand.
Wherever Messiah Engineering alumni choose to work, they are well received. We received the following note from the supervisor of one of our graduates:
"In all aspects of his work, [your alumnus] has exceeded and continues to exceed all expectations. I had never heard of Messiah College before; however, any résumé showing attendance at Messiah College will now find itself at the top of the pile."
The Career Center at Messiah College has statistics on where our graduates typically find emploment, including a list of companies and positions.
We asked our alumni the question, "What aspects of your experiences at Messiah College were most valuable?" Here are some of their responses:
"First thing that comes to mind [is] team-building experience through the senior project. I felt that faith integrated with career was taught well and was extremely valuable to me."
-Electronics Engineer, Class of 2003
"Communication, teamwork, oral and written presentations, ability to write clearly, respecting other cultures. All of these are very important in the workplace, and I had ample opportunities to develop these skills at Messiah. Open-ended projects are the most valuable teaching/learning tool in school."
-Technical Expert, Class of 1994
"Hearing and seeing the evidence of Christ in the lives of my engineering professors. Their dedication made sure I was growing beyond just the engineering education and experiences, helping me to grow in my walk with God. Thank you!!"
-Senior Engineer, Class of 1996
