How HDFS Program Helped to Prepare her
: It prepared me more than I ever realized it would. I work with a very diverse population of people and I have to draw on much of what I learned as a Family Studies major to prepare curriculum. The knowledge I have gained of Family Studies and different theoretical approaches has been vital to my success as a counselor. In addition, the most important thing I learned at Messiah College was compassion for the world around us and the vital role we as counselors and human service workers play in that world.
