Additional Education: Christine has just started her first semester at Chestnut Hill to obtain a Master's degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology

 

Job Title: Intensive Care Manager

 

Employer: Bethanna

 

Position Description: Christine works in a Residential Treatment Facility that works with adolescent boys who have behavior problems/mental health disorders. Her job is to act as a liaison between the staff, school, parents, outside agencies, and clients. She plans visits, plans follow-up services for following discharge, attends meetings related to the client's progress, conducts home assessments, works to encourage family involvement in their child's treatment, and writes case notes/reports. She recently was promoted to lead Intensive Case Manager, which includes supervising the other case managers.

 

Salary Range : $22,000 - $27,000

 

Previously Held Positions: This was Christine’s first job since graduation. She has been working there for almost two years. In the past, she has also worked as a camp counselor, in a home for developmentally disabled adults, and volunteered at a group home for single mothers.

 

Courses Found Most Helpful: Adolescent development, child development, abnormal psychology, family therapy, counseling theories, dynamics of family interaction, and parenting.
