Our Graduates: Career Profile

Barbara Piscioneri
1975

HED Major, ECE Minor

Additional Education: MA from Penn State, currently working on PhD from Temple University

Job Title: Adjunct Instructor

Employer: Temple University

Position Description: Teach art history

Salary Range : Approximately $3400 per course taught.

Previously Held Positions: She has also taught at Penn State Harrisburg and HACC

Courses Found Most Helpful: When I look back on it now, the interdisciplinary humanities course which was required of all students made the most impact on me and my future interests. I am not sure this is how the curriculum is structured now. It was a 6 credit course, I believe.

How HDFS Helped to Prepare Her: “I took Marriage and the Family courses when I attended as part of my curriculum, which was a practical course for addressing family/life issues.”
