Position Description: Jennifer is responsible for researching, reviewing and selecting resources to be offered in various Focus on the Family magazines and websites. She specifically works with the teen and college age groups (Brio and Brio & Beyond magazines), a college Christian worldview site (TrueU.org), a site for troubled individuals of all ages (Troubedwith.org), a talk radio/call-in show for women (Sharing Life Together Broadcast) and resources for daily radio broadcasts.
Salary Range: $32,000 - $36,000
Previously Held Positions: Jennifer has previously worked as a research assistant on the federal Weed and Seed grant with the Human Development and Family Science department at Messiah College. She briefly worked as an apartment life coordinator at Messiah College. She was also an assistant for Heritage Builders, a ministry of Focus on the Family which guides parents and churches in passing Biblical values on to the next generation. Jennifer has also worked as a Community Health Outreach Worker for a local health department.
Courses Found Most Helpful: Many courses have been helpful in the sense of providing a comprehensive view of individuals and families through different stages of life. The various development courses (child, adolescent, adult, and psychology of aging), parenting, interpersonal relations, and marital relationships have been the most helpful.

HDFS has provided me with a solid foundation through which to understand these different populations, life stages and challenges faced by each. Through this knowledge base I am able to effectively discern whether or not the resources I am reviewing are applicable to my various populations.
