Position Description: Supervise workers who provide direct service to clients in the child welfare field. Supervise all documentation, completion of regs, and court involvement.

 

Salary Range : $40,000 - $60,000

 

Previously Held Positions: Protective Services Caseworker and School-Based Services Caseworker with Dauphin County Social Services for Children & Youth; Vocational Case Manager for Adults with MH/MR with CPARC.

How the HDFS Program has Helped Prepare Her for Work: The education was very grounded and expansive. The expectation for professionalism at Messiah College made my transition into the work force and graduate school one of ease. My graduate experience has been a replication of information learned in undergraduate courses. The education regarding all stages of life has assisted in my awareness in working with diverse populations.

 

How Faith Interfaces with Work: My faith adds to social work ethics in how I participate at work and in the classroom. It has provided an underlying sense of compassion and respect for humankind. It has also been a source of comfort in times of stress.
