Position Description: Develop innovative programs for youth while expanding existing programs. I supervise an after-school homework club, a teen drop in center as well as a Youth & Adventure Day Camp. Other duties include team-building facilitations, staff supervision, fiscal management and community outreach.

 

Salary Range : $24,500-$27,500

 

Previously Held Positions: YMCA Camp Counselor, YMCA Head Counselor, YMCA Camp Director, and Site Facilitator of an Extended Day Enrichment Program.

 

Courses Found Most Helpful: Introduction to Interpersonal Relationships; Adolescent Development; Child Development

 

How HDFS Helped to Prepare Him: The knowledge I learned was very practical as far as learning about the development of people. I understand people in a much greater awareness because of the knowledge taught in HDFS. I work with people on a daily basis and feel I have a better insight of who they are, where they came from and what direction they are headed because of the HDFS degree.
