Position Description: Kim interviews/recruits applicants and discusses their employment history, skills, and goals. She also counsels/coaches applicants in reference to their resume, interviewing tips, motivation and ambitions. Extensive customer service, dealing with employers searching for qualified employees is another aspect of her position. In addition, Kim takes job orders (extensive job descriptions, requirements, and salary) from employers and business owners and actively searches for permanent job opportunities for applicants.

Salary Range: $28,000 - $35,000

Previously Held Positions: Memory Enhancement Coordinator, Assistant Director of Resident Services

Courses Found Most Helpful: Sociology of Aging, Adult Development, Family Dynamics, and Interpersonal Relationships

How HDFS Program Helped to Prepare her: When I worked as a Memory Enhancement Coordinator and Assistant Director of Resident Services, I was working with the elderly. Family Studies certainly helped me understand the aging process and dementia. As an Employment Counselor, Family Studies has helped me to utilize counseling and communication techniques.
