Welcome to the 2008 Building Strong Families Conference website.

This year’s theme, Responding to Families in Trauma, will allow participants to explore topics such as divorce, loss, PTSD, financial issues, emergency situations, family communication/dynamics with health-related stressors, challenges for military families, natural disasters, and many others.

The Building Strong Families Conference Planning Committee in conjunction with the Mid-Atlantic Council on Family Relations is pleased to present you with:

• a conference schedule filled with practical and applicable workshop presentations
• a group of speakers and presenters from a variety of fields and professions
• a keynote address
• a human services fair
• a student poster session
• a Distinguished Service to Families Award presentation
