Kerry Harker-Roth teaches viola and string methods. She currently performs with the York and Lancaster Symphonies and maintains a private studio of viola and violin students. She has performed with various orchestras in the North Texas area and was principal violist for the Finger Lakes Symphony and Rochester Women's Philharmonic in Western New York. Kerry has a background of 10 years as a public school orchestra director in Texas and New York. Her orchestras in Texas received top honors in Texas State orchestra competitions (UIL) as well as other competitons. Her orchestras in New York recieved "gold with distinction" ratings in the NYSSMA orchestra festivals. She also conducted the Hochstein Junior Youth Orchestra at the Hochstein Music School in Rochester NY. Kerry holds a BMUS in viola performance and music education from Houghton College and a MA from the Eastman School of Music in music education and string pedagogy. Kerry lives in Grantham, PA with her husband and two children.
