Ernie Tilman is a graduate of Steelton-Highspire High School, and attended the Harrisburg Area Community College, and also studied Studio Engineering at the Marietta Recording Studio in Marietta, PA.


Ernie currently is the Sound and Lighting Technical Coordinator for Messiah College responsible for all sound, lighting, stage, and audio/visual technical requirements for most events on campus, and also supervises a student technical crew.

For over 20 years, Ernie has been the sole proprietor of E.T. Productions: a videography and recording studio ministry, to produce songs of praise.


Ernie has been singing for over 38 years in various quartets, bands, talent shows, professional groups, choirs and praise teams. Ernie also performed 4 years with the March of Dimes Telethons; and has also contributed his talents to CBS-21 television network jingles; recording studios in New York City; in New Brunswick, NJ; in Marietta, PA; and in Harrisburg, PA Ernie has also taught voice lessons to various people.


Ernie with his former wife Cheryl, ministered through music for over 15 years including on the Carnival Cruise Line Ship: “The Fantasy,” 3 years with “The Full Gospel Business Men’s Association,”at Lake George, NY, and also were awarded 1 st place People’s Choice Global Award in Harrisburg, PA and New Artists Award at the Gospel Music Workshop in Chicago, Illinois.


Ernie currently resides in Harrisburg where he attends church at: The Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church, and is an active part of the choir and Praise Team there. Ernie also presently co-directs Messiah’s United Voices of Praise Gospel Choir and has produced and recorded their first CD.
