

The Department of Music annually designates two Music Scholarship Audition Days. However, students may schedule an audition at anytime for acceptance into the department. ALL STUDENTS who audition for the Department of Music will be considered for talent awards.

There are three levels of awards for music students at Messiah College:
Daniel Vollmer Scholarship in Music
The Vollmer Scholarship in Music is a 60% tuition waiver and is based on talent. This award is renewable provided the student:
- Remains a music major
- Performs in appropriate ensembles
- Maintains the appropriate GPA
The Vollmer Scholarship cannot be combined with the Provost Scholarship for academic merit.
Dean's Scholarship in Music
The Dean's Scholarship in Music is worth approximately $2500 per year ($10,000 over four years). The award is renewable provided the student:
- Remains a music major
- Performs in appropriate ensembles
- Maintains the appropriate GPA
The Dean's Scholarship in Music can be combined with the Provost Scholarship for academic merit.
Faculty and Endowed Scholarships
There are a variety of endowed one-time awards for incoming First-Year Students. These awards provide assistance for the first year of study and range in value from $1000 to $3000.
