Nursing Excellence Award
Purpose:
To recognize excellence in nursing practice, education, administration or research among the members of Lambda Kappa Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International.
Criteria:
Nominee must be an active member in good standing in Lambda Kappa Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International.
Nominee for the award must be nominated by an active member of Lambda Kappa Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International. (Self nomination is permitted.)
Nominator must submit a description of the nominee's professional qualities and activities that merit recognition of excellence. Description should be approximately 250 words.
In addition to the nominator, the nominee must be endorsed by at least two (2) active members of Lambda Kappa Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International. Endorsement should consist of a letter by the member to the Awards Committee.
Nominee should submit a Curriculum Vitae and/or Resume
Selection of Recipient:
All materials will be reviewed by an Awards Committee appointed by the Board of Directors. The recipient of the award will be determined by a majority vote of the Board of Directors of Lambda Kappa Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International based upon recommendations of the Awards Committee.
Award:
If in the judgment of the Awards Committee meritorious nominees are offered, the award will be presented annually at the Spring Induction Ceremony. The award will consist of a cash award and permanent memento.
Deadlines:
Nominating materials must be submitted to the Awards Committee no later than March 15.
